Butterfly Kouvertonima is a soft yet exceptionally strong yarn made from 100% mercerized cotton grown in Greece. Designed with crocheters in mind, it combines outstanding durability with a smooth, pleasant feel. The entire process — from cotton cultivation to spinning, dyeing, and packaging — takes place within Greece, resulting in a minimal transportation footprint. Its longest journey is to Switzerland.

Thanks to its high-twist 4-ply construction, Kouvertonima offers excellent stitch definition, strength, and resistance to wear while remaining soft and enjoyable to crochet with.

Traditionally, Kouvertonima has been used to create heirloom-quality blankets, bedspreads, curtains, lace trims for household linens, and christening garments and accessories.

The pictured gauge swatches were machine-washed (regular program at 40°C) and steam ironed.
