Swiss Crochet is moving in 2027!
I’m very excited to share some big news: Swiss Crochet is moving to a new home!
In February 2027, Swiss Crochet will move to a new, larger location – still here in Ostermundigen.
A new space for Swiss Crochet
As Swiss Crochet continues to grow, so do the needs of the business. I have been looking for a space that not only provides more room, but is also attractive and welcoming for customers and gives Swiss Crochet the space to continue developing in the years ahead.
The new location will make it possible to create a comprehensive showroom, where you will be able to discover yarns, tools, books and more in person. There will also be more room for relaxed crochet meetups, as well as a dedicated space for courses.
In short, it will be much more than simply a larger place to store yarn!
An old building with a new purpose
The new Swiss Crochet home has plenty of character of its own. It is located in a renovated and repurposed old farmhouse in Ostermundigen.
The building is protected under the Canton of Bern’s historic preservation regulations, so its exterior retains the traditional appearance and character of the original farmhouse. Inside, however, the new space benefits from an extraordinary amount of natural light, with windows extending across three levels from top to bottom.
I think this combination of old and new will make it a very special setting for the next chapter of Swiss Crochet.
Moving in February 2027
The move is planned for February 2027. There is still plenty to do before then, and I will be sharing more information over the coming months as the new space takes shape.
This includes more details about the showroom, courses and meetups, as well as practical information about the move itself.
For now, I’m simply very happy to finally be able to share the news – and I’m looking forward to welcoming you to the new Swiss Crochet home in 2027!
