Hoooked Ribbon XL Lurex is a versatile yarn made from pre-consumer textile waste. It is unspun, meaning it has no twist—perfect for crochet projects with excellent stitch definition. Thanks to its fabric composition, it offers a slight stretch, making it easy to work with.
Ribbon XL Lurex is composed of 60% high quality recycled cotton, 20% other recycled fibers and 20% lurex. Textile remnants from the fabric industry, which would otherwise be discarded as waste, are repurposed into yarn. These remnants are broken down, spun into yarn again, and then worked into the knitted ribbon tape that forms Ribbon XL Lurex.
Ideal for crocheting baskets, bags, rugs, and home décor, Ribbon XL Lurex’s Super Bulky weight allows for fast, satisfying results. Due to its inherent heaviness, it is less suitable for wearable garments.
