A Linen is a highly durable linen-cotton yarn, perfect for projects that need strength and structure. Its Câblé construction provides exceptional durability, while the Z-twist ensures the yarn won’t unravel or split during crocheting, making it a pleasure to use.
The spinning process takes place in Nakyang’s own facility in Gyeongsan, South Korea, near Daegu, a former textile hub of the country. The dyeing process is carried out by partner companies located in close proximity, all within the Gyeongsan and Daegu area.
Having spinning and dyeing facilities located close together allows for short transport distances between production steps, supporting a more streamlined and locally concentrated manufacturing process.
Thanks to its high twist and its composition of 51% linen and 49% cotton, A Linen offers no elasticity. This makes it ideal for crafting baskets, bags, hats, and other items that need to retain their shape and resist stretching. However, this same quality makes it less suitable for wearable garments.
The pictured gauge swatch was machine-washed (regular program at 40°C) and steam ironed.
