Pattern Notes
The blanket is worked flat in rows. Each row begins with a decorative picot-like edge that is created by working simple chain stitches. The piece begins with the solid colored yarn and ends with the variegated colored yarn. The fabric of the blanket is reversible.
Directions
Note: the 3 chain stitches at the start of each row do not count as stitches that contribute to the width of the piece. They stay on the side, forming a decorative edge.
With Yarn A:
Chain stitch 25.
This is the base chain stitch line and represents the amount of stitches there should be throughout the pattern.
Set-up Row 1 (Right Side): chain stitch 3, single crochet to 4th chain stitch from the hook, single crochet in each chain stitch to the end of the row, turn. (3 chain stitches + 25 single crochet stitches)
Set-up Row 2 (Wrong Side): chain stitch 3, single crochet to every stitch to the end of the row, turn. (3 chain stitches + 25 single crochet stitches)
Row 1 (Right Side): chain stitch 3, single crochet to every stitch to the end of the row (not counting the chain stitches of the previous round), turn. (3 chain stitches + 25 single crochet stitches)
Repeat Row 1, 18 more times (21 rows total).
Cut Yarn A.
Switch to Yarn B and repeat Row 1, 21 times.
Finishing Row: chain stitch 1, slip stitch in every stitch to the end of row. (1 chain stitch + 25 slip stitches)
Cut Yarn B.
Finishing
Wash and iron or steam to measurements. Weave in ends.
