Pattern Notes
Each motif is worked in the round, always in the same direction. Simple crochet stitches are used to create the water drop shape. The motifs can be used individually or joined together to create a larger fabric. Alternatively, two motifs can be sewn together to create a single, thicker piece in the same shape.
Directions
Note: The chain stitches at the start of each round do not count as a stitch.
Begin with sliding loop.
Round 1: ch 2, dc 12 in loop, join with sl st. (2 ch + 12 dc sts)
Round 2: ch 1, (sc 2 in next st) four times, hdc 2 in next st, (dc 1 and tr 1) in next st, ch 3, (tr 1 and dc 1) in next st, hdc 2 in next st, (sc 2 in next st) four times, join with sl st. (1 ch + 24 sts + 3 ch sts)
(Optional – adds a single crochet border)
Round 3: ch 1, sc 12, sc 5 in chain space, sc 12, join with sl st. (1 ch + 29 sc sts)
Fasten off, leaving a 10 cm/ 4 inches tail.
Finishing
Wash and iron or steam to measurements. Weave in ends.
