Butterfly Crochet Thread Size 60 is a soft, shiny thread designed with crocheters in mind. Made from 100% mercerized Egyptian cotton grown in Greece, this yarn stands out for its quality and thoughtful production. The entire process — from cotton cultivation to spinning, dyeing, and packaging — takes place within Greece, resulting in a minimal transportation footprint. Its longest journey is to Switzerland.

Thanks to its câblé construction, this crochet thread offers exceptional strength and durability while remaining lightweight despite its multiple plies. The Z-twist prevents unraveling and splitting during crocheting, making it a true pleasure to work with.

Traditionally used for fine crochet lace and intricate work, Crochet Thread Size 60 is also surprisingly versatile. It can be used for garments and accessories by holding multiple strands together or combining it with other yarns.

Three sample swatches are shown:

  • single strand worked with a 0.60 mm hook
  • double strand worked with a 0.60 mm hook
  • triple strand worked with a 1.00 mm hook

The pictured gauge swatches were machine-washed (regular program at 40 °C) and steam ironed.

Butterfly Crochet Thread Size 60 is available in two colors, Snow White and Ecru, and is the finest crochet thread currently available in the shop.
