Vasto is a unique single-origin yarn made from 100% Merino Gentile wool sourced from small farms in Puglia, Italy. As fully traceable European wool, this yarn offers a genuine connection to its origin and craftsmanship.
Vasto is an S-twist 2-ply woolen spun yarn. This type of construction traps air within its fibres, resulting in a lofty, lightweight, and highly insulating yarn with a soft, matte finish. After washing, the yarn blooms beautifully – filling in to create a cohesive, soft fabric with enhanced texture and warmth.
To fully benefit from this bloom effect, it is recommended to work Vasto at a relaxed gauge rather than too tightly.
